Baltimore March Events

I respect the efforts of Baltimore citizens to prevent youth violence. Here’s a list of such events:

Highlighted Youth Violence Prevention Week events include:

  • The Community Mediation Conflict Management Workshop on Tuesday, March 19 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, at 3333 Greenmount Avenue. Ages 12 & older welcome.
  • Dismantling the School to Prison Pipeline: Anger, Decision Making & Impulse Control, a seminar hosted by the Urban Institute and the Family League of Baltimore City, on Wednesday, March 20 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. All ages are welcome.
  • Making It As a Young African-American Man: Trials & Tribulations Before Success, a workshop hosted by Operation Safe Kids and the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development, on Wednesday, March 20 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, at the Youth Opportunity (YO!) Westside Community Center, 1510 West Lafayette Avenue. All ages are welcome.
  • The 5th Annual Playing for Peace Basketball Tournament with 92Q will be held Friday, March 22 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at the Towanda Recreation Center, 4100 Towanda Avenue. The event is open to all ages.
